The White Rose Centre for Excellence in the Teaching and Learning of Enterprise enables students to develop enterprise skills so that they are equipped to make an impact in the future as social entrepreneurs, enterprising employees and successful business owners.

The Centre is a dedicated enterprise teaching and learning facility and aims to expand embedded enterprise across the whole curriculum at York, providing top class teaching and learning spaces right at the heart of campus. Equipped with the latest hardware and software, the facilities offer students and staff alike the space to be creative, enterprising and productive.

The Enterprise Zone in Vanbrugh C block is the main CETLE facility. There are eight rooms in total, staffed 9am - 5pm for five days a week. The Micro-Incubator and Resource Room will also be open outside office hours when reception is manned by one of our Enterprise Interns.

Any current student who wants advice or even space to be able to start a business is welcome to come and use the facilities. The rooms are all bookable by desk, and once a tenancy agreement is signed, the full resources of the CETLE are available to the student company including:
