[edit] Cycle Routes
The University is well served with cycle paths and is currently improving cycle access and storage facilities. Cycle racks are available in most parts of campus. The City Council provides free copies of cycle route maps around the City of York, and there is a network of cycle paths on campus (map available). Maps are also available from the Market Square Information Centre.
[edit] Cycle Safety
The City of York Council offer Cycle Training sessions to help improve the confidence and safety of cyclists. The one-to-one sessions can be tailored to suit the routes that you most frequently use. Training sessions are also available for disabled cyclists.

The University have a number of secure cycle stores situated across the campus. Access is available via the local Reception (identification may be required). The University offers free cycle security coding at the start of each academic year.

Many buildings on the Heslington campus now have facilities for cyclists including showers and lockers. For details of facilities in your location please contact the relevant Facilities Manager.
[edit] King's Manor Cycle Shuttle
For staff and students based at the King's Manor, the University offers a loan cycle service. Cycles are available in different styles and sizes each equipped with sturdy panniers, lights and guarded gears.
