The department offers courses in the following areas:
- Electronic Engineering
- Electronic and Communication Engineering
- Electronic and Computer Engineering
- Media Technology
- Music Technology
- Electronic Engineering with Nanotechnology
- Electronic Engineering with Business Management
- Avionics
- Radio Frequency Engineering
There is also a foundation year, an entry route to all the courses for those who do not have relevant qualifications, particularly mature students.
As of Spring Term 2007/2008 the electronics department now has its own student run society called ShockSoc.
This society aims to bring students from all years together for a verity of social and more electronics based activities. The society receives full support from the department; to the point that the department pays for the student membership fee which means the society is FREE for all electronics students.
