Jung Chang

Chinese born writer most famous for her autobiography 'Wild Swans'. She recieved her Ph.D. in Linguistics from York in 1982 becoming the first person from the People's Republic of China to be awarded a doctorate by a British University. She lectured at SOAS in the 90s before retiring to focus on her writing. She and her husband have also published a highly critical biography of Mao Zedong.
