[edit] Quick guide for those new to Wikis
Anybody can make changes to Yorkipedia articles but please remember to keep it factual and encyclopedic.
A good way to get used to using wikitext is to log in and start by writing your profile page (click on your username at the very top of the page).
[edit] Editing existing articles
- You can edit articles by choosing the edit tab at the top of the article.
- Some articles are semi-protected meaning that you must be logged in to edit the article. This is usually used to prevent vandalism and spamming.
[edit] Creating new articles
- Before starting a new article, please check that it doesn't already exist using the search.
- To write a new article, search for the title that you want and click create this page.
